On Thursday 20th October, Eltham Veterinary Practice put on an information night about our four legged senior friends. Our key speakers were our two vets Dr. Steve Pryor BVSc MACVSc and Dr. Gus Braniff BVSc. Also we were lucky enough to have Dr. Robert Holmes, a qualified vet with a PhD in Animal Behavior speak to us.

Eltham Veterinary Practice Listens to Our Clients

During September 2011, Eltham Veterinary Practice ran a client focus group with a group of our clients. We had an independent organization run the Group, with the aim of obtaining feedback on how we can do better. The attendees were asked about their pets, their last visit to us, our communication generally, areas we could improve, and our overall performance.

News

Eltham Veterinary Practice has been awarded the 2011 AVA Practice of Excellence Award
by the Australian Veterinary Association. This national award is given to the best small animal practice in the country, following a rigorous selection process.

The process involves nominated practices initially undertaking the AVMPA Practice Health Checklist and answering questions relating to the practice. The judges then short list practices to continue to the next stage. This includes being mystery shopped and random customer surveys. The final stage for those still in the running involves a practice visit and interview of key staff.

Senior partner at Eltham Veterinary Practice Dr Steve Pryor said "the staff were absolutely chuffed to win the award. The staff really apply themselves every day when they come to work, but it's very nice for all of us to receive this sort of recognition".

Our New Hospital

Since 1972, Eltham Veterinary Practice has been the backbone of quality veterinary care in Eltham. Drs Steve Pryor and Gus Braniff have continued building the practice into a vibrant, friendly practice. We operate from a brand-new, purpose-built Hospital on the Corner of Main and Mt Pleasant Rds, Eltham. The fully computerised practice is equipped with modern medical equipment such as in-house pathology system, the latest x-ray equipment, endoscopes, ultrasound and a dvanced anaesthetics to ensure the best care for your pet. For a full list of services please  click here 

Our Staff
Our staff are committed to providing the very best in pet care. This means keeping up to-date with the latest in technical advances and medical knowledge. Our staff attend on-going training in all areas of animal health and welfare.

We give back to the Community
Eltham Veterinary Practice is also committed to giving back to the community. Our practice is involved in the school visit program: PetPEP (Pets & People Education Program), Winter Blanket Drive (we collect blankets an d send them to the Cat Protection Society and the Lost Dogs Home), and "Paws in the Park" our annual dog walk and fun day event.

Grooming Service
Dee Darmodi, our extremely gifted groomer has appointments available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and will start working Tuesdays in spring.
